The Flynn partners with area schools, colleges, organizations and social service agencies to provide a wide array of artistic experiences for the entire community.
The PACT (Providing Accessible Community Tickets) Program partners with more than 50 social service agencies to make performances accessible and affordable to every member of the community. Each season more than 3500 vouchers are distributed allowing over 1500 people to experience live performance at the Flynn.
Residencies: Many local and touring artists further engage with the our community by offering residency activities such as masterclasses, workshops, pre-performance discussions, talkbacks, listening sessions and more; including extended residencies with Bill T Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange. Approximately 15 percent of Student Matinee Series tickets are provided at no cost based on student need.
Scholarships are made available to students in the FlynnArts performing arts education program, making participation possible for a wide range of students.
Partnerships with the University of Vermont, Saint Michael’s College, and Champlain College provide students with affordable access to Flynn performances. The performing arts are integrated into the cirriculum across the academic spectrum and become an intergral part of student' college experience in Vermont. The FlynnTix Regional Box Office provides professional ticketing services both on-site and off-site for regional presenting organizations such as Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Champlain Valley Exposition, Vermont Stage Company, UVM Lane Series, Lyric Theatre, and several other area organizations.
