Flynn Center Renovations

Flynn Center Renovations

In 2012, the Flynn undertook a major overhaul of the main theater and the lobby. The Flynn performance experience now inlcudes new, improved seats with more legroom and better sightlines.

Check out the time-lapse video of the work in the main theater.

A photo retrospective:

A majestic view of the old theater.

The seats get torn out. Look at those
mushroom cap vents!

The back of the theater.

Making additional wheelchair accessible

An extra row in the balcony is built.

The new vent covers, built by
Conant Metal & Light. No more
lost cellphones.

The floor is painted.

Railings are installed on the steepest
side-of-house inclines.

The chair stands are drilled into the  floor.

We have new seats!

The new view of the hall,
minus carpet.

The lobby is being renovated, too,
with new carpet throughout.

New electronic displays above the
theater doors, which will include a
live feed of the performance in case
patrons need to step out for a moment.

The kiosk in the outer lobby is painted.
