Teachers in a Workshop

School Programs Order Form

Words Come Alive! adds pizzazz to learning & teaching, and teachers’ creative sides are sparked and inspired.

- Debby King, Curriculum Director, Grand Isle Supervisory Union.

The full Words Come Alive program begins with workshops for participating teachers in a school or district. With a focus on different elements of movement and drama, various teaching techniques are demonstrated, giving teachers the opportunity to experience the power of the work personally. The curricular topics addressed in teacher workshops are suggested by the participants, who can propose their own, or click here for a list of suggested topics.

After the workshop demonstrations, teachers brainstorm ways to use the same techniques with children, applying them to the various curricular topics to meet their students’ needs.

Subsequent workshops address more advanced Words Come Alive techniques and provide a forum in which teachers who are now implementing the techniques in their classrooms share their experiences and ideas with one another.
