The Flynn Student Matinee Series connects children, teachers, and schools with the performing arts in deep and meaningful ways, bringing performances to Vermont that both complement school curriculum, and introduce students to worlds they have never known before. The high-quality shows illustrate the dynamic relationship between the performing arts and history, literature, and world cultures, and sometimes introduce fascinating art forms that lie outside the curriculum, like puppetry, dance, and more. An important resource for teachers, the Student Matinee Series welcomes approximately 40,000 school children from 175-plus schools and 190-plus home schools each year. Free comprehensive study guides are posted online to help teachers, students, and parents prepare and reflect upon the performances. Or if you prefer to get some outside help, call upon a Flynn teaching artist to work in your classroom with your students before and/or after the show in a matinee companion workshop!
"A wonderful learning experience for them to compare and contrast the book with the show."

"Kids' writing has improved tremendously since seeing the show. INSPIRATION at its best!
