SAKSHI KEETON brings a life-long involvement with many forms of dance and improvisational movement to her teaching. She is fascinated by how people express themselves corporally in life and how this same expression affects their life in turn. As well as leading dance exploration, Sakshi is a Somatic Therapist and Yoga Teacher, always focusing on facilitating awareness in life through the intelligent body. She is currently deeply involved in free-form dance as a way to expand conscious living and creativity. With extensive experience in the 5Rhythms and Soul Motion schools of free dance, she is now engaged in the teacher training with Evangelos Diavolitsis at the Meditation Moves school, out of Calgary Canada. Her JUST MOVE! Inspired Dance classes and workshops offer the opportunity to step beyond ideas of how our dance should look or feel; to simply respond to rhythm and beat and be amazed at what emerges.

JUST MOVE! Inspired Dance is a free-form movement exploration unifying our innate body intelligence with beat, breath and space. Through this practice, participants are able to investigate who they are and how they move in the world, both literally and metaphorically as reflected through their spontaneous dance. By inviting our mind to move out of the way to let our body speak its own unique language with no choreography or filtering, creative intelligence and inspiration are able to fully emerge and inform. No dance experience is necessary, just a desire to engage with yourself and just move! This 2 week class can be taken individually or as a series.
