Gain sharp and exacting tools to break a monologue down via essential questions about given circumstances, relationships, motivation, stakes, arcs, and tactics. Investigate the choices that make an audition professional and memorable. These monologue-crafting tools are applicable to any kind of scripted work—so whether you’re getting ready for college auditions, want to try out for a local production, or are headed to NYC or LA to pound the pavement, this class arms you with the techniques you need to create compelling and successful work to get yourself in the door. This class will also continue looking at ways to keep other doors opening, such as: Online Presence- Facebook, Twitter, website construction, IMBDPro, backstage, actors access, Face Distribution- headshots, business cards, Talent Distribution- auditions, demo reels, readings and Human Contact- meet & greets, industry events, thank you cards, updates and which relationships to foster and develop in the theater.
