Summer Camps

FlynnArts offers over 30 summer camps for ages 3-18, taught by a team of fabulous educators & performing artists. Our drama camps are themed to storybooks or topics kids love (Magic Tree House, Willy Wonka, Wizards, Seuss, etc.) and use those different worlds as jumping off points for dramatic discovery and play creation. Other interests in the performing arts (dance, voice, film, radio, improvisation, puppetry, musical theater, jazz music, spoken word poetry, etc.) are explored in greater depth, particularly as students get older. Our Summertime Jazz and Summer Youth Theater Productions, provide talented—and most importantly, passionate—students with the opportunity to increase and showcase their skills in a supportive and inspiring environment. Camps are held in our two well-equipped studios at the Flynn Center, as well as on the historic Flynn MainStage and in our black-box theater, FlynnSpace. Other locations include our wonderful partner sites: Burlington City Arts, Shelburne Farms, Vermont Public Radio, Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, the ECHO Center, the Lake Champlain Chocolate Factory, the OFF Center, Fletcher Free Library, The Winooski Mill, and Champlain College. We're happy to provide supervised care until 5 pm following on-site camps to make life easier on working parents. Camps are announced in January and enroll throughout the Spring.
