Student Matinee Series Season & Reservation Information

Orrder Form

REQUESTING SEATS

How to request seats to a Student Matinee Series Performance: All reservation requests MUST be in writing. Complete the order form in the Student Matinee brochure or download one (photocopies acceptable). Registrations are accepted by mail, hand-delivery, or fax. Email reservations are accepted after the initial lottery period. Phone reservations are NOT accepted, and seats to the Student Matinee Series cannot be purchased through the Flynn Regional Box Office.

SUBMITTING ORDERS:

  • MAIL to Student Matinees, Flynn Center, 153 Main St. Burlington, VT 05401
  • HAND-DELIVER to Flynn Administrative Offices, 147 Main Street, Burlington
    (weekdays 8:30 am-5 pm)
  • FAX to 802-863-8788 (Make sure to fax ALL pages of the order form. Cut the order form in two as indicated.)
  • EMAILsms@flynncenter.org and remember to include your school name and address, your name, the show date and time, number of seats requested, including requests for subsidized seating.

WARNING! Please choose only ONE method of delivery! Duplicate submissions can cause doubled orders.

  • NEW THIS YEAR: We will no longer put multiple shows into one order. Each show you reserve seats for will have its own order number. Multiple shows can still be ordered on one form.
  • SEAT NUMBERS: Don't forget to include teachers and chaperones in your count ! When uncertain of numbers, we recommend that you slightly overestimate your need.
  • CONFIRMATION: Reservations will be confirmed in writing; no tickets will be issued. Actual seat assignments are based on age and necessary accommodations.
  • WAITING LIST: Orders for sold-out shows willbe placed on a waiting list. You will be contacted if seats become available, which they often do, usually about one month before the show.

PAYMENT

  • GROUPS OF 10 OR FEWER: Payment in full must accompany your order to secure your reservations.
  • GROUPS OF 11 OR MORE: No deposit is required with your order form. A bill for payment will be sent 12 weeks prior to the show date, and payment in full or a purchase order is due three weeks in advance of the show. (Purchase orders must confirm final seat adjustments and guarantee the arrival of the check prior to performance day.) Seats are guaranteed only until the payment due date. Reservations not paid in full by the due date may be cancelled and a 50% cancellation fee charged.
  • SUBSIDIZED SEATS: The Flynn raises funds to offer approximately 200 free seats per performance for students who meet the school's criteria for fully subsidized lunches as well as chaperones needing financial assistance to attend. Because the need is always greater than the number of seats available, we ask that you request subsidized seats only if there are no PTO or other community funds to support these individuals. To request more than 15% of your reservation be subsidized, a letter explaining your higher needs must accompany your order.
  • REFUNDS:There are NO REFUNDS for paid reservations. The only exception is the unlikely case in which a show is cancelled. Under these circumstances, monies will be applied to another show, companion workshops, or refunded.

CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

SEAT REQUESTS/CHANGES: A one-time request to change seat numbers should be made as early as possible; however, a timeline of absolute deadlines appears below. Failure to meet these deadlines incurs a late cancellation/reduction fee equal to 50% of your reservation cost.

  • Ten weeks before show:
Cancellations are due to the Flynn in writing
Cancellations and reductions of more than 15% of your order due in writing
  • Six weeks before the show:
Cancellations and reductions of less than 15% of your order due in writing
  • Three weeks before show: Full payment and all seating changes due.
  • Any late cancellations or reductions are subject to a 50% late fee.
  • Weather-related cancellations: There are NO refunds of paid reservations. If your school is closed or delayed on the day of a performance, we will make every effort to get you into another grade-level appropriate matinee in our season. If this is not possible, the funds will be applied to companion workshops.
