Companion Workshops
Activate the Performance Experience
“My students said the workshop
helped them understand what to
expect and built their anticipation.”
Bill Wight, 7th grade teacher,
F.H. Tuttle Middle School
These highly interactive workshops turn matinee performances into more meaningful
learning experiences for your students. Professional teaching artists visit your
classroom or meet your students in a Flynn studio before or after the show where they
lead activities designed to give your students insight into the artists’ creative choices,
arouse curiosity about the performance’s themes, and help students reflect upon
and understand the show’s content.
"The workshop reminded me to use theater more with my students. They were all very engaged during the workshop, and were looking forward to seeing the stories come alive onstage!"
Wendy Valastro, Teacher,
Summit Street School, Essex Junction
