The Flynn Center’s benefit events raise approximately $80,000 each year in annual revenue. Each event is supported by hundreds of participating patrons, generous sponsors, outstanding volunteers, and numerous in-kind donations.
The Flynn Student Matinee Series connects children, teachers, and schools with the performing arts in deep and meaningful ways, bringing performances to Vermont that both complement school curriculum, and introduce students to worlds they have never known before.
The Amy E. Tarrant Gallery—an extension of the Flynn Lobby—is open to the public on Saturdays from 11 am to 4 pm, and during the First Friday Art Walk. Performance attendees may also view exhibits prior to MainStage shows and during intermission.
Heralded as the unofficial start of summer, the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival has filled the city with music for over thirty years. Over the course of 10 days, jazz pours out of the Flynn Center and blankets the entire town, in parks, on streets, and in clubs and restaurants. Legends of international, national, regional, and local acclaim come to educate, indulge and inspire as Vermont discovers America's indigenous art form.
The Flynn plays host to extraordinary visiting artists on our two stages, and often we arrange for these visionaries to offer special classes to our community, giving you a chance to personally engage with amazing performers and performance-makers
