The Flynn Center partners with Fletcher Free Library in Burlington to present a free book club that selects books related to upcoming performances. "Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage" by Alfred Lansing

Meticulously researched and beautifully narrated, Alfred Lansing's book is considered to be the definitive account of polar explorer Ernest Shackleton and the ill-fated journey of the ship, Endurance. Through firsthand interviews and personal diaries of the crew members, Alfred Lansing tells the story of Shackleton's year-long struggle to survive in Antarctica. Discussion leader, Fritz Senftlebe, will recount his own Antarctic expedition in which retraced Shackleton's fateful voyage.

An eclectic and relevant mix of articles, interviews, essays and comics from a variety of contributors, including Alan Moore, Mark Bode, Glenn Danzig, James Kochalka, Jimmy Gownley, Charles Glaubitz, Steve Murphy, Rick Veitch, Jim Woodring, and Craig Yoe, Panel to Panel illuminates the many aspects of comics as a popular medium of the day. Leading the discussion will be the editor of Panel to Panel, John Rovnak.

Dr. Peter Bingham, Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of Vermont, will lead the discussion of this work as we delve deeper into The Accidental Mind.
