These cutting-edge multimedia percussionists will help participants create percussion instruments out of found objects, compose a brief musical piece, and collect recordings of sounds and interviews, some of which may be included in their Burlington performance of Imaginary City.

Photo of So PercussionSO PERCUSSION formed at the Yale School of Music. Realizing that percussion instruments can communicate all the extremes of emotion and musical possibility, their music escapes easy categorization. The Brooklyn-based quartet’s innovative work has quickly helped them forge a unique and diverse career.

The FlynnArts music program offers a variety of vocal and instrumental classes, and serves our widest range of ages, beginning with the young infants in Music Makers. Early music classes enhance children’s natural creative impulses and help develop concentration, coordination, and cooperation. Classes for older children through adults combine individual attention with ensemble work, broaden students’ musical knowledge and performance skills, and introduce like-minded friends who often play and sing together for years to come. Masterclasses with visiting artists and discounts on world-class Flynn Center presentations further enhance the program.
