Explore exercises designed for novices and experienced writers alike that will jumpstart you, as you trust your instincts and make discoveries in the moment rather than over-intellectualizing the process. A special focus will be given to what the audience brings to this dramatic exchange, presenting less so that the audience can provide more. Taught by Tim Crouch, co-creator of the two-person play England.
TIM CROUCH has established a reputation as one of England’s most progressive and thought-provoking writer/performers. He is interested not just in the felicitous placing of words but how their impact can be manipulated. His plays combine emotionally-charged subject matter with structures that constantly remind the audience of their ability to be objective about art.
The FlynnArts theater program creates supportive and fun-filled learning experiences that emphasize individual expression and embrace creative choice. Classes for children build sequentially, while teen and adult classes offer in-depth exploration of specific theater arts. Small classes mean that everyone receives personal attention, and performance opportunities let students try out their skills in front of supportive audiences filled with family and friends.
