The famed Israel Ballet comes to the US for the first time in 25 years. Renowned for training soloists across Europe, the Israel Ballet conducts an intermediate to advanced-level master class for those looking to broaden their technique.
Israel Ballet was founded in 1967 by Berta Yampolsky and Hillel Markman who remain the artistic directors to this day. In addition to George Balanchine’s famous neo-classical works, the company performs the great ballets and new works by such choreographers as Christian Spuck, Krzysztof Pastor, and Rudi van Danzig.
The FlynnArts dance program instills a lifelong love of dance, helping veteran dancers and first-timers alike experience the unique power of their own bodies as expressive instruments. Classes cover a breadth of styles, teaching technique while helping students trust their own instincts—instilling confidence and a sense of accomplishment. Classes focus on process rather than product, but a year-end optional performance satisfies dancers’ desire to share their growth and hard work with family and friends. Our program is enhanced by connections to the world-class artists who perform on the Flynn MainStage and share their dance styles and ideas with FlynnArts students in masterclass settings. Drop-in students are permitted in teen/adult classes on a space-available basis for $12-$16 per class (depending on length). However, most classes fill up quickly with registered students, leaving no room for drop-ins. It is wise to secure a space in class by registering for the full semester.
