Hip-Hop dancer Danielle Vardakas-Ducko talks about hip-hop’s evolution, its place in society today, and historical tradition of the art form. Vardakas-Ducko began dancing at age three, studied dance at the Creative & Performing Arts High School in Philadelphia, and graduated from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University. Danielle has worked with Rennie Harris Puremovement and is a certified Hip Hop instructor through Dance Educators of America in Funk & Hip Hop and the University of the Arts. Danielle is also a registered & experienced yoga teacher. She taught yoga for Oprah Winfrey’s Minority Womens’ Conference in Arizona and for the cast of The Lovely Bones (in theatres now) in the summer of 2009.
