"Eric and Leigh Gibson have cemented their role in bluegrass music's storied history of brother duets, joining the Monroes, the Louvins, and the Stanleys in the tradition of those high lonesome harmonies that can only be created by family." —PopMatters

The Gibson Brothers' Iron & Diamonds CD: Iron & Diamonds and Picker's Blues
Although he admits a certain discomfort with the moniker "King of Newgrass,"
Sam Bush has more than earned it. The mandolin prodigy from Kentucky
may not be the only person responsible for newgrass—the wild bluegrass
stepchild of rock-&-roll grooves and extended virtuosic jams—but he has
certainly been one of the genre's most brilliant lights, collaborating with
some of America's favorite performers—Emmylou Harris, Béla Fleck,
Edgar Meyer, Lyle Lovett—to create further dimensions to the music.
The Gibson Brothers, raised in upstate New York near the Canadian border,
are endearing bluegrass heroes, each with a unique voice. Leigh's warm
tones and Eric's high-lonesome intensity create a thrilling double-stop fiddle
sound, a blending of experience and emotion that makes them enduring
concert favorites.
