Based on two years of story-gathering in communities in Vermont and New Hampshire, this one-woman show by acclaimed actress and dramatist Anne Galjour explores issues of class and culture in New England. Determined to hang on to her dreams for her family, a mother who lives in public housing tries to buy the house she has cleaned for years. She struggles against financial strain and discrimination. As in her tour-de-force Hurricane, Galjour brings diverse characters to life, and lives not typically represented onstage find a voice in this provocative and moving theatrical gem.

Dr. Felice Yeskel's INSights:
"Why Class Matters" with the Director of Class Action:

Friday, November 14 from 6:15-7:30 pm, Amy E. Tarrant Gallery at the Flynn, FREE!
Dr. Felice Yeskel, executive director of Class Action, has toured the country speaking to more than 50,000 people and presenting hundreds of workshops about economic inequality and healing the divisions among Americans of different class backgrounds. Class Action combines a trenchant class analysis with opportunities for people to discuss experiences and feelings about class with lively and open dialogue. This extended length interactive INsight provides context about the complexities of class in the U.S., including the dimensions of class, class indicators, statistics on wealth distribution, and why class matters. Filled with personal stories, anecdotes and economic insight, this talk will reveal the complex nature of class and classism. Please join us after the talk for the performance of Anne Galjour’s You Can’t Get There From Here in FlynnSpace at 8 pm (see details above).
