Dave Pietro’s talents as a gifted saxophonist, composer, and educator led him to receive a grant from Chamber Music America in 2005. The Chakra Suite, a new album released on CD in 2008, is a seven movement composition which blends elements of American jazz with harmonic and rhythmic concepts from Brazilian and East Indian music. Pietro will be accompanied by guitar, bass, and percussion.
