World-renowned Latin jazz trumpeter Ray Vega and
members of the Latin band Jazzismo, led by Rick Davies, take
the stage in this special jazz cabaret evening. “The mantle of Jazz
Messengers-tinged Latin jazz has been at least partly assumed by
trumpeter-percussionist Ray Vega,” raves Downbeat magazine.
Vega, members of Jazzismo, and other FlynnArts faculty members
will lead week-long Latin Jazz classes in July.
