Below are Flynn Center Accessibility Services. As the region's premiere performing arts venue, the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts is committed to making our facility and programs accessible to all in our community.

The Flynn's programs include a 60+- event MainStage and FlynnSpace Series, a Student Matinee Series, and year-round arts education through FlynnArts. The Flynn Center is located in downtown Burlington where more than 4,000 parking spaces are available in the surrounding area. There are accessible parking spaces and a curb cut available in front of the theater. For events not sponsored by the Flynn Center, Flynn staff will make every effort to facilitate programmatic access between patrons and the event sponsor. Please request all access services when ordering tickets through the FlynnTix Regional Box office at 802-863-5966 or in person at 153 Main Street, Burlington, VT . Relay calls are welcome by calling the Vermont Relay Service by dialing 711 or calling 800-253-0191 TTY. Access services can be requested on-line as well, visit - once a performance has been selected to purchase, a box will be provided under "Accessibility Services" during the seat selection process. An accessible elevator is available for access to FlynnSpace, the Flynn administrative offices, and Hoehl Studio Labs.


Accessible restrooms are located in the Flynn MainStage lobby, lower FlynnSpace lobby, Chase Dance Studio, Hoehl Studio Lab, and Flynn administrative offices.


Hearing Assistance: the Flynn is equipped with both FM and an induction loop hearing system for patron convenience.

The loop system broadcasts clear, customizable sound directly into hearing aids that are fitted with a Tele-Coil switch. This is the preferred choice among Assistive Listening Devices for many people with hearing loss. If you don’t know if your hearing aids have a Tele-Coil (70% do), ask your audiologist.

If your hearing aids have a Tele-Coil switch, simply turn the switch on and sound is streamed directly to your hearing aids.

If your hearing aids don’t have a Tele-Coil switch, FM wireless headset receivers are available free of charge at the concession stand.

American Sign Language

Selected Flynn MainStage Season and Student Matinee Series productions are interpreted in American Sign Language (ASL). Call for a schedule or to request services at an upcoming event - 802-863-5966, voice/relay calls welcome.

Large Print

BrailleLow VisionLarge-print and Braille programs for Flynn events are available upon request with 10 business days notice. Reserved seating is available upon request when ordering tickets via phone or in person.

Audio Described

Selected Flynn productions are audio described. Call for a schedule - 802-863-5966, voice/relay calls welcome. The Flynn Center thanks the Vermont Council of the Blind for providing audio description services for selected events.

Sensory Friendly

Sensory-friendly performances are designed to create a performing arts experience that is welcoming to all individuals with autism or with other disabilities that create sensory sensitivities. Social stories, break spaces, sensory friendly materials, and more are available for any show, not just sensory-friendly performances.
