Student Matinee Series Paige Hernandez Havana Hop

  • Wednesday, December 13, 10am
  • MainStage Map It
  • Grades 2-5

  • $8.50

Paige Hernandez is a performer with a reputation, resume, and fan base that is unrivaled by most. A native of Baltimore, she blends dance, monologue, and poetry over the backdrop of hip-hop and R&B classics. In her Havana Hop, we meet young Yelia, who visits her grandmother in Cuba to add a salsa flavor to her own hip-hop style. In this children’s tale of culture and originality, audiences dance along in dynamic participation as one actress creates three generations of lively women. Journey with Yelia as she discovers the fun of her multicultural heritage.
