Student Matinee Series Sonia De Los Santos

  • Monday, January 28, 10am
  • MainStage Map It
  • Grades PreK-8

  • $8.50

Original songs, Latin American party tunes, and new bilingual versions of American classics make Sonia De Los Santos’ performance a joyful message of cultural bridge-building. Born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, Sonia tours the world singing, playing guitar, mandolin, and jarana, sharing songs from her celebrated album, Mi Viaje: De Nuevo León to the New York Island. Her songs, sung in both English and Spanish, reflect Sonia’s experiences growing up in Mexico, moving to another country, learning about other cultures, and in the process, feeling closer to her own heritage.
