Storyboard, shoot, and edit your own original short films! Over the course of this class, students will learn the basics of screenwriting, cinematography, and post-production while developing their understanding of good storytelling and collaboration. Students will develop their skills in camera work, digital editing, and audio engineering while using industry-standard film equipment and software. Other culminating projects include completed scripts, storyboards, film scores, and visual design concepts for original short films.

FlynnArts Faculty

JAMIE WATKINS is the founder and co-artistic director of Current Harbor, a Brooklyn-based company creating theater, dance, and film. He also serves as the lead teaching artist and curriculum writer for the Manhattan Youth Film Intensive, a free filmmaking education program sponsored by the NYC Mayor’s Office and the Department of Youth and Community Development.
