    The final Youth Theater performance will be held Wednesday, December 4th in the FlynnSpace. Free and open to the public.

While balancing both process and product, students will enjoy the thrill of performance at our final showcase while developing fundamental acting skills through character development, improvisation and scene study. Placement sessions for grades 2-8 are Septembr 4 from 5:00-6:00. There is no preparation for necessary for the placement sessions, they are fun and low-stress, filled with theater games and improv! Note that students may be placed as follows: grade 2 in Sprouts or Juniors; grades 3-4 in Juniors only; grades 5-6 in Juniors or All-Stars; and grades 7-8 in All-Stars only. Performance date is December 4th in FlynnSpace.

FlynnArts Faculty

TRACY MARTIN teaches young children around the state as well as through the Flynn’s signature Words Come Alive school program. She studied dance at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and is artistic director of Phantom Theater, creating original works in dance, theater, and music.

ANNALISA LEDSON is thrilled to be joining the team at the Flynn! Annalisa is a teaching artist, performer, choreographer and co-artistic director of Current Harbor. In NYC she has created and performed in new works at; BAM Fischer Hall, HERE, Frieze Arts, Dixon Place, Joe’s Pub, The Tank, Mark Morris and Triskelion. Regional venues include Minnesota, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts and New Jersey. Currently pursuing M.Ed in Interdisciplinary Studies at University of Vermont.

JAMIE WATKINS is a director and teaching artist based in Brooklyn, NY and Burlington, VT. His work has been produced by multiple NYC performing arts organizations including HERE, Dixon Place, the Tank NYC, The Brick, Fresh Ground Pepper, Emerging Artists Theater, Epic Theatre Ensemble, FoxWolf Productions, and Opera House Arts in Stonington, Maine. He is the co-artistic director of Current Harbor, a graduate of Vassar College and LAMDA, and a recipient of the Kazan Prize for Distinction in the Dramatic Arts, as well as the Robert Moss Directing Fellowship at Playwrights Horizons. As a teaching artist, he has taught acting, physical comedy, and theater to students of all ages in after-school and in-school residency programs throughout the NYC public school system, as well as with the National Student Leadership Conference on Theater, and with Opera House Arts.
