    The final Film Viewing will be held Wednesday, December 4th in the FlynnSpace. Free and open to the public.

Learn how to storyboard, shoot, and edit your own original short films! Over the course of this class, students will learn the basics of film production, cinematography, and post-production while developing their understanding of story structure and collaboration. Students will receive a hands-on introduction to camera work, digital editing, and audio engineering while using industry-standard film equipment and software. The class will culminate in a screening of original short films created by the students! Final film viewing date is December 4th in FlynnSpace.

FlynnArts Faculty

JAMIE WATKINS is a director and teaching artist based in Brooklyn, NY and Burlington, VT. His work has been produced by multiple NYC performing arts organizations including HERE, Dixon Place, the Tank NYC, The Brick, Fresh Ground Pepper, Emerging Artists Theater, Epic Theatre Ensemble, FoxWolf Productions, and Opera House Arts in Stonington, Maine. He is the co-artistic director of Current Harbor, a graduate of Vassar College and LAMDA, and a recipient of the Kazan Prize for Distinction in the Dramatic Arts, as well as the Robert Moss Directing Fellowship at Playwrights Horizons. As a teaching artist, he has taught acting, physical comedy, and theater to students of all ages in after-school and in-school residency programs throughout the NYC public school system, as well as with the National Student Leadership Conference on Theater, and with Opera House Arts.
