How would it feel as a person of color (POC) in Vermont to have a Moth Style storytelling class centered around you?! This new collaboration with the Flynn aspires to create space for POC voices to be heard, finding connection and sense of belonging through shared narratives of resilience, POC joy, melanin magic, vibrant cultures, surviving, thriving, and more! Our intention is to provide our local POC community a storytelling space to learn and affirm one another, minimizing the impact of microaggressions and harm.

In this POC affinity space, one can practice the art of live, first-person, Moth-style storytelling. Learn how to structure, edit, and perform your own story in preparation for a live POC Story Slam to liberate our classroom conversations and personal stories! This class will be instructed by Ferene Paris Meyer and Moth producer Susanne Schmidt, who will join on occasion to share her knowledge and Moth storytelling experience (both locally and globally).
